Alta Jean Hammons Hedish age 79, of Florence, Kentucky, was born
on June 20, 1935 in Barbourville, Kentucky. She was a daughter of
the late Carl Hammons and Elizabeth Hubbard Hammons. Alta Jean died
Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence,
Kentucky. Alta Jean was a retired Lab Technician for AT&T. On
January 2, 1970, she united in marriage to John Hedish. Along with
her parents and husband, John, Alta Jean was preceded in death by,
three sisters, Irene, Carlene and Jane and three brothers, Ted,
Maxdell and Delano.

She was the loving and devoted mother of John Carl Detherage and wife, Debra of Crescent Springs, Kentucky; dear sister of; Janice West and Patricia Hammons both of Barbourville.

Services for Mrs. Hedish have been changed to the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Rick Partin officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home at 1:30 pm.
