Anderson Smith age 73, of London, was born on September 22, 1942 at
Woollum, Kentucky. He was a son of the late John Smith and Nan Jones
Smith. Mr. Smith died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his home. He was
employed by Caterpillar of Aurora, Illinois before retiring. On July 31, 1962, he united in marriage to Brenda Sue Lockard and to this union three
beloved children were born. Along with his wife, Brenda, he was
preceded in death by; a sister, Martha Mills; brothers, Dexter Smith,
Bill Smith, B.C. Smith; brothers-in-law; Arnold Mills and Roger
Crawford.

Anderson is survived by his dear children; his son; Charles Smith of
London; his daughters; Kathy Jones and husband, John and Martha Bratten and husband, Ray all of London; his grandchildren; Nathan
Bratten and wife, Erica of Cannon; Jake Bratten and wife, Samantha
of London; Briar Bratten, Logan Smith and Gavin Smith all of London;
his great granddaughter, Whittney Bratten of Cannon; sisters;
Susan Warren and husband, Orville of Gray; Louise Crawford of Gray;
Ann Lewis and husband, Bob of Woollum; Bernice Tillman and husband
Bob of Gray; brothers; Elmer Smith of Indiana; Reed Smith and wife, Syreda of Gray; Richard Smith and wife, Ethel of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; John Smith and wife, Debbie of Illinois; sisters-in-law;
Jerry Perry of Tennessee; Jane Messer and husband, Oleth of Illinois; and Belle Smith of Kentucky.
brother-in-law; Bruce Lockard of Barbourville; and many dear and
beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Anderson Smith will be conducted at the Hopper
Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, December 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Rev.
Darrell Warren and Rev. Keaton Smith officiating. Burial will follow
in the Candle Ridge Cemetery at Gray, with Grandsons Nathan Bratten, Jake Bratten, Briar Bratten, James Warren, and family members, and Jeff Mills and David Crisco serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers
will be Logan Smith and Gavin Smith. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral
Home, Thursday after 6:00 pm and Friday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
