Arnold Mills age 88, of Gray, was born on February 9, 1925 at Hammond, Kentucky. He was a son of the late John Will Mills and Nannie Mills. Mr. Mills died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the Baptist Health Corbin. Mr. Mills was a member of the Candle Ridge Baptist Church. He was a employee of the Chrysler Corporation before retiring. On August 22, 1949, he united in marriage to Martha Smith and to this union three beloved children were born. Along with his parents, Arnold was preceded by his dear wife, Martha, a son, Leon Mills; three sisters, Sally Broughton, Evie Hensley and Susie Mills; four brothers; Amos Mills, H.T. Mills, Ralph Mills and Carl Mills all preceded him in death.

Mr. Mills is survived by his son; Ricky Mills and wife, Clory of Gray; his daughter; Nannie Jean Rae and husband, John of Sterling Heights, Michigan; his grandchildren; Melissa Lee Mills May and husband, Cleve of Barbourville; Jeffery Leon Mills and wife, Carol of Gray; great granddaughter; Katie Mills; sisters; Axie Mills and husband, Rev. Mark Mills of Jarvis, Kentucky; Elizabeth Mills and husband, Russell of Barbourville, Kentucky; daughter-in-law; Beverly Jane Mills of Gray; sisters-in-laws, Betty Sue Mills and Ruth Mills both of Gray and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Arnold Mills will be conducted Friday, January 31, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ricky Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Candle Ridge Cemetery at Gray, with his grandson, Jeffery Leon Mills and other family members serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mr. Mills church family at the Candle Ridge Baptist Church and all his friends at the McBurney Senior Citizen Center in Corbin. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Thursday, 4:30 to 8:30pm and after 10:00 am Friday until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
