Betty Lou Mills, of Girdler, died Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. She was born on April 12, 1944 to the late Bill Frank Elliott and Elsie Mae Goins in Bell County, KY. On September 4, 1965 she was united in marriage to Arthur Mills. She was a Homemaker and a member of Hymiar Baptist Church.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother: Billy Ray Elliott and his wife Gail, her father and mother in law: Rev. Lester and Dorothy Mills, her brother in laws: Albert Mills, Alvie Mills, Kenneth Mills, Leslie Mills and her sister in laws: Wanda Mills and Mary Faye Mills.

Survivors include her loving husband Arthur Mills, her sons: Arthur Ray Mills of Girdler, Michael Mills and wife Michelle of Girdler, her daughters: Melissa Young Perry and husband Jeffery of Lexington and Dorothy Mae Mills of Girdler. her grandchildren: Anthony Wayne Young and wife Brooklin, Travis Mills, Bridgette Young, Christina Mills and Ray Mills, her sisters; Joann Smith and husband Ray of London, Shirley Wallins and husband Wayne , Debbie Bingham and husband Mike of London, her brothers and sisters in law she loved dearly, Lois Mills, Perry Mills, Whitley Mills and wife Sue, Opal and Doug Dozier, Elizabeth Mills, Beulah Mills, Ruth Mills, Shirley Mills and Florene Mills, her great grandchildren: Carson Young, Easton Fuson, Caden Mills, Ethan Mills and William Mills and a very special aunt Betty Sue Montgomery. Plus many dear nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Betty Lou Mills will be conducted Sunday night at 7:00 P.M. November 11, 2018 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smith and Jeffery Smith officiating. Burial will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. in the Mills and Broughton at Turkey Creek with Bryan Elliott, Jeffery Smith, Paul Pennington, Donavan Arthur, Anthony Young and Travis Mills. Honorary Pallbearers are Doug Dozier, Lois Mills, Perry Mills, Whitley Mills, Ray Smith, Steve Gambrel and Donavan Arthur. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until the funeral hour of 7:00 P.M. at Hopper Funeral Home.
