Obituary

Bobbie Sallie Hamilton, age 72, of Barbourville,  passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her home. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Mollie Mae (Hamilton) Hamilton, born to them on April 26, 1946 on Little Brush Creek.

She was an assistant librarian at the Weeks-Townsend Memorial Library at Union College, and a Member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: General Harve Hamilton, and by a brother-in-law: John Frank Hammons.

She is survived by her loving sisters and brothers: Gwindlen Kay Hammons of Barbourville, Rose Sanders and husband, Ernest of Woodhaven, Michigan, Truby Ethier and husband, Bill of Troy, Michigan, Ira Ray Hamilton and wife, Diana of Warren, Michigan, Jerry Donald Hamilton and wife, Teresa of Bonifay, Florida and Dale Hamilton of Madison Heights, Michigan;  and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Bobbie Sallie Hamilton will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday, April 25, 2019 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Adam Woolum officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hampton Cemetery on Little Brush Creek.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the: Union College Weeks-Townsend Memorial Library, 310 College Street, Barbourville, Kentucky 40906 in Loving Memory of Bobbie Sallie Hamilton.

The Hamilton family will receive friends after 10:30 A.M. and until the funeral hour.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
