Brian Gene Messer, age 48, of Barbourville, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was a son of Bobbie Disney Messer and the late Bodie Messer Jr. Born to them on January 8, 1969 in Corbin KY.

He worked in the produce department at A&P Supermarket and believed in the Pentecostal faith. He loved to fish and Hunt in his younger days. He was Loved and respected by everyone who knew him and loved Motorcycles and Tractors

He was preceded in death by his father Bodie Messer Jr.his uncles Leon Messer, Doug Swafford and Albert Mills and nephew Jonathan Leon Messer.

Brian is survived by his loving mother Bobbie Disney Messer of Barbourville, two brothers: Tony B. Messer and wife Susan of Knoxville, TN, Gary L. Messer and wife Debbie of New Mexico by his aunts and uncles Ilene Mills of Cannon, Russ and Jan Seiver of Cannon, Kay and Swafford of Cannon. By his neices and nephews Angie Alexander and husband Kenny, Robert Messer and wife Liana, Walter Messer and wife Heather, Stephanie Groesbeck and husband Jim, Isaac Messer and wife Emily, Matt Messer and wife Riyam, Rebecca Tinker and husband Adam, Sarah Crocker and husband Ben, Jake Messer and Gabe Messer. His great nieces and nephews David, Noah, A.J., Arianna, Hannah, Felicity, Joshua, Gaven, Hailey and Ryan. Plus many dear friends and family to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Disney, Ben Crocker and Danny Stark officiating. Burial will follow in the Bodie Messer Cemetery at Barbourville with Issac Messer, Jake Messer, Robert Messer, Roy Mills Jr., Matt Messer and Jim Mike Dethridge serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. Friday October 13, 2017 at hopper Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday until the funeral hour.
