Cathy Smith, 46, of Bimble, died Friday, October 14, 2016 in Kindred Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Cathy was born in Pineville to Eugene Smith Jr, and Charlotte Mills Smith on January 22, 1970.

Cathy attended the University of Louisville and played basketball, 1988 to 1992. She was a member of Scalf Chapel Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bo Smith in 2010.

In addition to her parents, Eugene and Charlotte, Cathy is survived by her daughter, Madison Taylor of Bimble, her sister, Dee Wilson and husband, Dr. Bruce Wilson, of Gray, nieces and nephew, Brittany Blackburn, Corey Gilmore, and Emily Wilson.

A graveside service was conducted for Cathy at 4:00 pm Monday, October 17, 2016 in the Liford Cemetery with Rev. Buster Liford officiating.

Hopper Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
