Charles Lee Liford, age 76, of Hinkle, died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Bennie and Edna Price Liford, born to them on January 25, 1940 in Knox County.
Charles was a well known Knox County Construction Builder, Finisher, and Dry Waller; and a Member and Deacon at the Dripping Springs Baptist Church.
He united in marriage to Evelyn Liford, and to this union three children: Roger, Sonia and Marty were born, Evelyn preceded him in death.
On March 22, 2006, he united in marriage to Kathy Baker Liford, and three of her children: David, Tammy, and Daniel, came in to Charles's life.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Willard Liford; his daughter-in-law: Miranda Liford; his brother-in-laws: Will Hinkle and Carroll Fowler; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John D. and Effie Mahan Baker; his sister-in-law: Linda Baker Scalf; and his brother-in-law: Walter Ray Jones.
He is survived by his loving family: His loving wife: Kathy Baker Liford of Hinkle.
His children: Bro. Roger Liford and wife, Darla of London; Sonia Liford Warren and husband, Stacey of Hinkle; Marty Liford and wife, Patricia of Flat Lick; David Keith Patterson of Barbourville; Tammy Patterson of Hinkle; and Daniel Patterson and wife, Crystal of Corbin.
His grandchildren: Brandi Crank and husband, Brad; Jaymee Liford; Samson Warren; Keegan Belcher; Keelie Belcher; Courtney Liford; Skylar Savoy, Jordan Patterson; Destiny Patterson; D. J. Patterson; and Bella Patterson.
His special great granddaughter: Braelyn Crank.
His two sisters: Lulamae Hinkle of Hinkle; and Amanda Sue Fowler of Fort Myers, Florida.
His sister-in-law: Fran Baker Jones of Corbin; and his two brothers-in-law: John Baker and wife, Jackie of Dewitt; and Jimmy Baker and wife, Charlotte of Corbin; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Charles Lee Liford will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Honeycutt, Rev. William R. "Mann" Cobb, and Rev. Ricky Broughton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hammons Cemetery at Girdler.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Donnie Price, Rodney Merida, Terry Price, Jimmy Wynn, Junior Fowler, Samson Warren, and Jordan Patterson.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Free Spirit Baptist Church Family, and The Dripping Springs Baptist Church Family.
The Liford family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. Monday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and on Tuesday after 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
