Charles Douglas Moore age 69, of Barbourville was born on September 7, 1946 in Barbourville. He was the son of the late Charles J. Moore and Vera Owens Moore. Doug passed away at the Barbourville ARH Monday, December 7, 2015. He was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. On January 13, 1973, he united in marriage to Helen Hammons and to this union a beloved daughter was born. Doug was a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Department of Defense. He was a United States Marine Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

Doug is survived by his wife, Helen Moore and daughter, Mindy E. Moore of Barbourville; his aunt: Louise James of Corbin; his uncle,
Charles Owens and wife, Louise of Shreveport, Louisiana; his uncle, Richard Moore of Pinehurst, North Carolina, and brother-in-law, Frank Hammons and wife, Kay of Barbourville.

Funeral Services for Charles Douglas Moore will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, December 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary
Pallbearers will be: Butch Moore, Frank Hammons, Stephen Hammons, Ronnie Deaton and all of Doug's golfing friends at Indian Springs.
Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Saturday 6:00 to
8:00 pm and after 10:00 am Sunday until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
