Obituary

Charles "Red" Williams age 81, of Flat Lick, was born on July 29, 1932 at Turkey Creek in Knox County. He was a son of the late Henry Williams and Christine Hammons Williams. Mr. Williams died Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Baptist Health in Corbin. He was the Owner and Operator of Williams Lumber and Wedges Company. On September 14, 1956, he united in marriage to Kathleen Anderson and to this union three beloved daughters were born. Along with his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by; a infant sister; and a brother; David Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his dear wife, Kathleen Williams of Flat Lick; his daughters; Teresa Williams of Flat Lick; Lisa Coyle and husband, Doug of Waco, Kentucky; Rhonda Clouse and husband, Patrick of Barbourville; grandchildren; Gunnar Clouse, Hope Coyle and Connor Clouse; his brothers; Landon Williams and wife, Becky of Felicity, Ohio; and Jerry Williams and wife Sue of Sanford, North Carolina and many other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral Services for Charles "Red" Williams will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Denvil Taylor and Rev. Eli Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Turkey Creek, with Patrick Clouse, Doug Coyle, Gunnar Clouse, David Williams Jr., Mike Corey, Bob Corey, Jeff Corey serving as pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: the staff at the Trillium Rehabilitation Center, staff at the Saint Joseph of London, Dr. Kris and Dr. Petersen. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Tuesday after 5:00 pm and Wednesday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
