Clements "Clem" Mills, 67, of Walker, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at his home. Clem was born October 29, 1947 at Walker, Kentucky to the late, Gobel and Nancy (Shelton) Mills. He was a coal truck driver for over 40 years, and it was his passion. He was known to all of his friends as 2 speed. Clem was hard working, he enjoyed playing softball, drag racing, sports, was a very passionate Kentucky basketball fan, and loved being with his family. He united in marriage to Judy Mills in June 1967, and two sons were born. She preceded him in death.
Also preceding him in death were twin daughters; Melody and Melissa Mills. Sisters; Monica Mills Bays, Bonnie Mills, Mildred Bright. One brother, Larry Mills, and one brother-in-law, Ray Bays.
Surviving are his sons, Scot Mills and fiancée, Donna, of Barbourville, Alan Keith Mills and wife Crystal of Scalf, and two children whom he raised, Anthony Mitchell of Walker, and Travis Lay of Williamsburg. His grandchildren, Caylan Mills, Zackary Mills, and Whitley Tye. His brothers, Ben Tye Smith and wife Aileen of Middlesboro, Gobel Mills Jr. of Mills, KY, Jerry Mills and wife Sherry of Corbin, Donnie Mills and wife Linda of Flat Lick, Lowell Mills and Randall Mills, both of Mills, KY, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Hopper Funeral Home with Revs. Derrick Mills, A.Y. Mills and Donnie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Johnny Mills Cemetery on Jeffs Creek with nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 PM Tuesday.
