Obituary

Coleen Hudson Carnes, age 77, of Heidrick, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Lewis and Hazel Scalf Hudson, born to them on February 26, 1938 in Barbourville.

Mrs. Carnes was a Homemaker, and a Member of the Heidrick Holiness Church.

On September 28, 1960, she united in marriage Frank Carnes, and to this union four children were born.

She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother: Lewis and Hazel Scalf Hudson; a infant Son: Timothy Carnes; her two brothers: Tip Hudson and Kenneth Ray Hudson; and by a great granddaughter: Emmaleigha Elliott.

She is survived by her loving family: her husband of over 54 years Frank Carnes of Heidrick.
Her three children: Wayne Carnes and wife, Angie of Heidrick; Rick Carnes and wife, Darlene of Boone Height; and Debbie Carnes Sizemore and husband, Henry of Corbin.
Her six grandchildren: Amy, Angie, Ashley, Dexter, Lauren and Candice.
Her nine great grandchildren.
Her two sisters: Margaret Hamilton and husband, Bill of Artemus; and Nannie Mae Ballard and husband, Ray of Florida.
Her two sisters in law: Beverly Hudson of Heidrick; and Jean Carnes of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Coleen Hudson Carnes will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Rice and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating.
Burial will follow in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Dale Falconberry, Brian Brown, Little Charlie Fultz, Earl Marlow, Charles Fultz, Michael Mills, John Edwards and Lee Smallwood.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Staff of Hospice of the Bluegrass; Dr. Raju Vora; and the Staff of the Knox County Hospital.

The Carnes family will receive friends after 6:00 pm on Monday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and on Tuesday after 9:00 am and until the funeral hour.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
