Obituary

Cynthia Kaye Daniels Baker age 39, of Burnside, Kentucky and formerly of Bimble, was born on October 28, 1973 in Pineville, Kentucky. She was a daughter of Danny Lee Daniels and Karen Merritt Daniels. Cynthia died Monday, August 5, 2013 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Cynthia was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was also a member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels as well as a founding member of the Mustang Mafia of America and the Honorable Order of the Knights of the Horsemen. She was the owner of the Antioch Siberians Kennel for 17 years. Cynthia loved her dogs and animals of all kinds. She dearly loved her family and friends and shared her loving spirit with them. She was a member of the Mafia Racing Drag Team. Win or lose it was the enjoyment of fast cars, great friends and was her therapy while she was fighting cancer. On April 3, 1993, she united in marriage to Jerry Baker and to this union a dear son was born. Cynthia was preceded in death by; her maternal grandfather, Luther Merritt Jr. and her paternal grandparents, Crit and Lorene Pollard Daniels.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Baker of Burnside, Kentucky; her son; Corey Douglas Baker and wife, Kayla Wright of Somerset; her parents; Danny Lee and Karen Daniels of Bimble; her brother; Danny Lee Daniels Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Barbourville; her maternal grandmother; Dorothy M. Gray of Bimble; her mother-in-law,
Barbara Ann Baker of Stinking Creek; father-in-law; Freddie Baker of Burnside, Kentucky; she also leaves four nieces and three nephews.

Funeral Services for Cynthia Daniels Baker will be conducted Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jimmy Rarrieck and Rev. Bill Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow in the Yeager Cemetery at Bimble, with the members of the Mustang Mafia serving as pallbearers, Seth Blissmer, Darius Bauer, Joey Godsey, Jonathon Ridner, Bobby Foster, Darrell Mondie and Garrett Taylor. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Wednesday after 5:00 pm and Thursday after 10:00 am until the hour of service at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
