Deborah Lynn Brown age 59, of Barbourville passed away Wednesday at her residence. She was born on December 16, 1958 to the late Peter Mitchell Broughton, Sr. and Doris Smith Broughton in Detroit MI. On May 24, 1984 she was united in marriage to Ronnie Brown who survives. She was a former lunch room manager at Central Elementary and a member of Faith Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. In her spare time she loved to sew, quilt and spend time with her family and especially her grandkids. Her greatest joy in life though was serving and praising God.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Jerry Lee and Peter Mitchell Broughton, Jr. and her sister: Ida Joan Broughton.
She is survived by her two daughters: Rebecca R. Honeycutt of Bimble and April R. Napier and husband Johnny of Boone Height, her grandchildren: Madison Rose Honeycutt and Logan Alexander Napier. Plus many other dear relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Deborah Lynn Brown will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday September 17,2018 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Frazier and Rev. Duke Hammons officiating. Burial Will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Bimble with friends and family surviving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Martha Combs Woolum, Dr. William Skinner, staff at Pineville Hospital, neighbors at Yellow Rock Place Apartments and faculty and staff at Central Elementary School. The family will receive friends at Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. Sunday.
