Doris C. Miller, age 88, of Bryants Store, died Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Omer and Eva Blanche Perkins Egnor, born to them on July 19, 1929 at Anchor in Knox County.
Doris had worked at Warners in Barbourville for many years; a former Cook at Knox Central High School; a Member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church; and a Member of the Barbourville Eastern Star Chapter #411.
She united in marriage to Paul Collins and he preceded her in death in 1952, and then she united in marriage to Earl Vanover and he preceded her in death in 1972, and then she united in marriage to Stanley Miller and he preceded her in death in 2017.
Doris was preceded in death by her father: Omer Egnor; her mother: Eva Blanche Perkins Egnor Hicks; and by her three husbands: Paul Collins, Earl Vanover and Stanley Miller.
She is survived by her loving family: Her children: Blanche Collins and husband, Herman of Trosper; Lillian Smith and husband, Don of Barbourville; Kay Henderson and husband, Harold of Kipton, Ohio; Joyce Gray and husband, Terry of Artemus; Donna Draughn and husband, Randy of Whitley City; and Roger Vanover and wife, Linda of Atemus.
Her step-children: James Vanover of Jonestown, Kentucky; Irene West of Michigan; Ronnie Vanover of Michigan; Linda Vanover of Williamsburg; Pat Miller and wife, Rosemary of Corbin; Charlie Miller and wife, Sue of Bailey Switch; Sue Golden and husband, Virgil of Kansas; and Lynn McQueen and husband, Frank of Bryants Store.
Her 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 11 great, great grandchildren.
Her two sisters: Mary Stalling and Lillian Holley; and many other relatives, and dear friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Doris C. Miller will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Vandy and Rev. Josh Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Nancy Bain Cemetery on Hubbs Creek in Knox County.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Herman Collins Jr., Kenneth Collins, Michael Collins, Herman Collins III., Derek Vanover, and Gary Wayne Doolin.
The Miller family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Friday, and after 9:00 A.M. on Saturday and until the funeral hour at 12:00 Noon.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
