Obituary

Duran Alan Lundy, 46, of Barbourville, Kentucky, was born on November 21, 1967 in Fort Pierce, Florida. "He was the son of David and Viola Lundy." On July 20, 1991 he was united in marriage with Christina Lynn Miller, his high school sweetheart. To this union, two children were born, Nathan Duran Lundy and Chloe Christina Lundy. He was saved at Swan Pond Baptist Church when he was eight years old and was a member of the Himyar Baptist Church. Duran loved to sing better than he loved to eat and he loved chicken and dumplings and peanut butter fudge. He played the piano and sang with the Lundy Family for over twenty years. He would sing and testify and continued to sing even after he became ill. He never stopped praising God. He graduated from Knox Central High School and Eastern Kentucky University. He was a master builder and could build and fix anything. He loved God, his family, his church and his friends. On his refrigerator he kept a prayer list. Among the many names of people he prayed for he prayed to be a light to someone and he was a light to many. He was promoted to Heaven at his home on December 31, 2013.
