Eddie Alvin Moore age 58, of Independence, Kentucky and formerly of Barbourville, died at his home on Tuesday, December 25, 2012.
He was a son of the late Edward and Margaret Smith Moore, born to them on March 9, 1954 at Baughman in Knox County.

Eddie is a veteran of the United States Army. He has served in the past as pastor of Port Royal Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tennessee; Mentor Baptist Church in Mentor, Kentucky; and Brooksville Baptist Church in Brooksville, Kentucky. He has also worked for the Kenton County Police Department and more recently as part-time electrial instructor at Home Builders Association in Northern, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother: Edward and Margaret Smith Moore; and by one brother: Jimmy Dale Miller.

He is survived by his wife: Charlene Jackson Moore, and by his two children: Christopher Moore and wife, Amy of Hebron, Kentucky, and Leah Vance of Independence, Kentucky.
His two grandchildren: Lindsay and Darion of Independence, Kentucky.
His three brothers: Curtis Moore and wife, Sherry, and Ronnie Moore and wife, Karen of Barbourville; and Danny Moore and wife Jan of London.
His sister and brother-in-laws: Keith and Dean Ramsey of Artemus; Homer and Evelyn Hammons, and Sue Hodge of Corbin, and Carson Jackson of Barbourville; and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends to mourn his passing.


Funeral Services for Eddie Alvin Moore will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Bro. Michael Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Carnes Cemetery at Turkey Creek.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Scott Moore, Tanner Moore, Dwight Davis, Ray Moore, Darrell Warfield and Ike Roark.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

The Moore family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home
on Saturday after 10:30 A.M. untl the funeral hour of 12:00 noon.
