Edith Watkins Trosper, widow of Vernon Donald Trosper, age 88 of Gray, Kentucky was born on September 17, 1927 in Hamilton, Ohio. She was a daughter of the late Jack and Mollie McWhorter Watkins. Mrs. Trosper passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at her home. She was a member of the Eastside Tabernacle Church of God in Corbin. On July 12, 1943, she united in marriage to Vernon Donald Trosper and to this union three beloved children were born. Mrs. Trosper was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, cooking and gardening and was a U.K. Wildcat basketball fan. She truly loved being a full-time grandmother and great grandmother. Along with her husband, three sisters, Grace Bertsch, Sudie Gaines, Della Hammons; brothers, Rollie, Grover, George and Carl Watkins and son-in-law; Bill Hanshaw all preceded Mrs. Trosper in death.

Surviving Mrs. Trosper; her loving children; Betty Trosper Hanshaw of Gray, Kentucky; Alvin Trosper and Sue of Corbin; Brenda Trosper Duricko and husband, Bob of Westfield, Indiana; beloved grandchildren; Mark Elton Trosper and wife, Glenda; Melissa Ann Trosper; Aaron Edward Trosper and Brittany; Corey Janssen Duricko Thomas and husband, Jeff; beloved great grandchildren; Matthew Mark Tyler Trosper; Justin Daniel Trosper; Halie Morgan Trosper, Christopher Michael Jones; Kobi Ava Spencer; Sydney Kaitlyn Thomas; and many special nieces and nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for Edith Watkins Trosper will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Randall Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Bob Duricko, Jerry Campbell, Michael Watkins, Ronnie Watkins, Dan Trosper and Don Trosper serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Devonna Durham P.A., Dr. Sabu Saha, Lou Davenport, Cleda Giles, and Mae Royce House.

Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Saturday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
