Obituary

Edward A. "Skip" Gregory II, age 69, of Barbourville was born on
January 27, 1946 in Pineville, Kentucky. He was the son of Edith
Asher Gregory and the late Edward A. Gregory. Skip died Friday
January 15, 2016 at his home. He was a member of the Church of
Christ in Corbin, Kentucky. Skip worked for the Cabinet for Health
and Family Services for 31 years before retiring. He also served in the United States Army. In the year of 1966, he united in marriage to Sue Jarvis Fowler. Later, on March 6, 1994 he united in marriage to Sandra Brooks. Along with his father, Edward, Skip was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Stevie Brooks

Skip is survived by his wife, Sandra Brooks Gregory of Barbourville;
his daughter; Stephanie Youngs and husband, Andy of Heidrick, Kentucky; sons; Aaron Gregory and wife, Jennifer of of Girdler, Kentucky; Shannon Gregory and wife, Sarah of Shelbyville, Kentucky;
Randy Payne of Springfield, Missouri; Daniel Payne and wife, Tosha
of Heidrick, Kentucky; his dear grandchildren; Kaylee Gregory,
Ella Gregory, Paige Gregory and Ayden Bargo; his dear mother;
Edith Gregory of Barbourville; his sisters; Erelene Chadwell and
Peggy Retherford and husband, Tom all of Barbourville; his mother-in-law; Geraldine Brooks of Bryant Store, Kentucky; his brother-
in-law; Roger Brooks and wife, Renee of Bryant Store, Kentucky; and several loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services for Edward A. "Skip" Gregory II, will be conducted at the East Barbourville Baptist Church, Monday, January 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Josh Smith and Mr. Joe Gilbert officiating. Friends will be received at the East Barbourville Baptist Church after 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm. The Gregory Family has suggested contributions may be made to Saint Judes or Hospice of the Bluegrass in loving memory of Edward A. "Skip" Gregory II.
