Elizabeth Reba Gambrel age 80, of Barbourville, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018, in the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 27, 1938, to the late Monroe and Bessie Hembree Sturgill in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a homemaker and a member of the Coal Port Baptist Church. In her spare time, she liked to watch T.V, and work crossword puzzles.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Bessie Lynn Smith and a sister: Ruth Roark.

Survivors include her sister: Ethel Owens of Barbourville, her grandchildren: Rebecca Lynn Brewer of Barbourville and Michael Harold Brewer of Artemus, her former husband Gary Gambrel of Boone Height, her nieces: Betty and Lucy Roark of Ohio. She is also survived by many other dear relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Reba Gambrel will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. November 24, 2018, in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Brewer and Rev. Scott Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Sowders Cemetery at Coal Port with friends serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 5:00 P.M. Friday at Hopper Funeral Home and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday until the hour of service at 11:00 A.M.
