Obituary

Eva Mills Sprinkles age 82, of Barbourville, was born on January
5, 1932 at Salt Gum in Knox County, Kentucky. She was a daughter of
the late Evie Mills and Emma Baker Mills. Eva died Wednesday,
December 31, 2014 at her home. Eva was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church and was attending the Roadside Baptist Church. She
was a retired cook at the Knox County Hospital. In the year of 1948,
she united in marriage to Alonzo Mills and to this union seven
children were born. Her husband, Alonzo, a son, W.B. Mills and a
daughter, Betty Faye Mills Carnes preceded her in death. In the
year of 1994, Eva united in marriage to Denver Sprinkles. Her husband,
Denver; three sisters, Dorothy Mills, Elizabeth Bargo, Geneva Mills,
brothers; J.L. Mills, Cecil Mills, Wesley Mills, Lloyd Mils, Escoe
Mills and Nasby Mills all preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sprinkles leaves to mourn her passing; her beloved children;
Emma Lee Smith and husband, H.R. of Bimble; Lois Collins of Barbourville; Lloyd Wesley Mills and wife, Joann of Barbourville;
Randy Hance Mills and wife, Elizabeth of Barbourville; Joe Elvis Mills
and wife Pat of Florence, South Carolina; sixteen grandchildren;
fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren,and sister-in-law, Doris Mills of Barbourville. She also leaves many dear nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors to
mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Eva Mills Sprinkles will be conducted Sunday,
January 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with
Rev. Josh Smith and Grandson, Derrick Troutman officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Grandsons and Great Grandsons serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mrs. Wells, Doris Callihan and all friends at the Knoxwood Apartments. Friends
will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Saturday, after
6:00 pm and Sunday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.
Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
