Floyd D. West Jr., 68, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at home in Angola, Indiana surrounded by his family.

He was born June 15, 1946 in Barbourville, Kentucky to Floyd D. Sr. and Nell (Collinsworth) West.

He enjoyed his scenic driving trips around Steuben County, especially to the Mongo Game Reserve looking for wildlife. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and his new great-grandson.

Floyd is survived by his loving wife Brenda L. (Armstrong) West of Angola, Indiana; three sons Allen West of Angola, Indiana, Shawn West of Angola, Indiana and Floyd (Lisa) West III of Hudson, Indiana; three brothers Robert (Lenore) West of Orland, Indiana, Terry West of Kentucky and Eddy C. West of Kentucky, three sisters Janice Bennett of Ohio, Nancy Smith of Kentucky and Thurza (Herald) Rodgers of California; two grandchildren Kyle and Kayla and his great-grandson Stephen Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Lavena Jackson and his brother George West.

Services will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Weicht Funeral Home with Pastor John Boyanowski officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Thursday, September 25, 2014 and Friday from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
