Geraldine "Gerry" Logan age 92 of Owenton, Kentucky and formerly of Knox County, was born on October 28, 1925 in Harlan, Kentucky. She was a daughter of the late Enoch Griffith and Susie Nevada Thorton Griffith. Gerry died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in the U.K. Bluegrass Hospice Center in Lexington. She was a charter member of the Kay Jay Missionary Baptist Church. On December 28, 1945, she united in marriage to Vealor O. Logan and to this union five beloved children were born. Along with her parents and husband, Vealor, she was preceded in death by a infant son, Richard Gerald; granddaughter, Crystal Lee, sister, Eula "Pudge" Miracle and two brothers, Franklin and Bill Griffith.

Gerry is survived by a son, Matthew (M.A.) Alexander Logan and wife, Carol of Owenton, Kentucky; her daughters; Linda Lou Brown and husband, Ted of Owenton, Kentucky; Ella Sue Logan of Kay Jay, Kentucky; Diane Miller and husband, Pete of Hillsboro, Tennessee; her eleven grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren; a sister, Sally Belle Hollifield of Danielsville, Georgia and a brother, Lowell T. Griffith and wife, Faye of LaFollette, Tennessee.

Funeral Services for Geraldine "Gerry" Logan will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, May 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dale Phipps and Rev. Roy Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with grandsons, Mark Logan, Cody Logan, Murphy Brown, Eric Houp, great grandson, Daniel Alsip and nephew, Stanley Peace serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Monday after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
