Obituary

Gladys Hopper age 91, of Bryants Store, was born at Swan Lake on
August 23, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Starling Moore and Bettie Sharp Moore. Mrs. Hopper died Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Baptist Health Corbin.
She was a member of the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Hopper played the piano and was a Sunday School Teacher for many years at the church. She was a former employee of Warners and was a homemaker. On December 24, 1941, she united in marriage to William
Herman Hopper and to this union two beloved children were born.
Mrs. Hopper was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Billy Don Goodin

Mrs. Hopper is survived by her son,
William "Billy" Hopper and wife, Louise of Corbin; her daughter, Nancy Goodin of Bryants Store; her grandchildren; Dwight Hopper and wife, Sherry; Lou Ann Hopper de Rosset and husband, Edward and Jennifer Goodin; great granddaughters; Ashley Hopper, Amanda Hopper and Chloe' de Rosset.

Funeral Services for Gladys Moore Hopper will be conducted at the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church,Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Ronnie Rose and Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Ketchen Cemetery at Bryants Store with, Jerry Benttin, Harold Senters, Buster Matlock, Mike Deaton, Roger Deaton, Ted McKeehan, Larry McKeehan serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be, the third floor employees at the Christian Health Center and Dr. Daniel Whitley. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Saturday, after 6;00 pm and Sunday after 10:00 am at the Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church until the funeral hour at 11:00 am. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
