Glen Ray Giles age 75, of Bimble, was born on July 10, 1941 at
Coalport. He was a son of the late Alvin Jiles and Pauline
Williams Jiles. Glen died at his home, Thursday, September 1,
2016. He was a retired Lineman and Serviceman for Cumberland
Valley Electric Company. Glen was a member of the 1st Battalion
149th Infantry Barbourville, Kentucky. On July 30, 1965, he
united in marriage to Geneva Manning and to this union a
beloved daughter was born. Along with his parents, Glen was
preceded in death by a infant brother.

Glen is survived by his dear wife, Geneva Giles, of Bimble;
His daughter, Soandra Lynn Hammons and husband, Jeffrey
of Oreland, Pennsylvania; beloved grandchildren; Lindsey Blake,
Jeffrey Jr., Jennifer Tonya-Lynn; great grandchildren;
Keira Alyssa and Emilynn Rae.

Funeral Services for Glen Ray Giles will be conducted in
the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, September 4, 2016
at 2:30 pm with Rev. Denvil Taylor and Rev. Danny Hembree
officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville
Cemetery with, Dennis Hart, Dave Taylor, William Jay
Hampton, John Ferguson, Randall Campbell, Ted Hampton and
Danny Wright serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers
will be: All staff and employees of Cumberland Valley
Electric. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral
Home Saturday after 6:00 pm and Sunday after 10:00 am
until the hour of service at 2:30pm. Hopper Funeral Home
is in charge of all arrangements.
