Glorias "Tommie" Barker, age 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.  She was a daughter of the late Hiram and Wilma Horten Taylor, born to them on January 16, 1931 in Barbourville.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband William "Red" Barker.

She is survived by her three children: Kae (Mike) Milam of Louisville, KY; Bill (Shelley) Barker of Lexington, KY; and Tere Crist of Medford, Oregon.
Her seven grandchildren:  Josh (Michelle) and Ben Milan, Amy (John) Hill, Courtney and Kara Barker, April and Chad Crist.
Her three great grandchildren: Savannah Milam, and Maggie and Blair Hill.
Her sister: Lois of Barbourville; and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Tommie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had a heart for helping people.  She never met a stranger.  She had many wonderful friends whom she loved dearly and considered to be family.  She will be remembered for her vibrant personality and spirit.

Funeral Services for Glorias "Tommie" Barker will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell  Hathcock officiating.
Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.

The Barker family will receive friends after 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and until the funeral hour.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
