Jack Davenport age 73, of Artemus,was born there on March 30, 1944. He was a son of the late James Andrew Davenport and Anna Georgia Moore Davenport. Jack died Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in the Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, Tennessee. He was a former employee of General Motors in Detroit, Michigan. Along with his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a brother, Hershel.

Jack is survived by his son, Douglas Arthur Davenport and daughter,
Debbie Hinkle and husband, Steve all of Michigan; several beloved grandchildren; his brother; Cecil Davenport and wife, Betty of Barbourville and his sister, Doris Wombles and husband, Clifton of Michigan.

Funeral Services for Jack Davenport will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Eli Broughton and Skip Hammons officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with family members and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home
Friday, 6:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home will is in charge of all arrangements.
