Janice Poff age 78, of Barbourville,was born there on September 19,1938. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Davis and Ellen Hanser Davis. Janice died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky, with her daughter, Robin by her side. She attended Barbourville High School and worked at Union College for nineteen years. In the year of 1954, she united in marriage to Donald Poff and to this union a daughter and three sons were born. Janice is preceded in death by a son Donald Ray Poff and brother, H.C. Davis.

Janice is survived by, son, Gerald Poff of London, daughter, Robin Karr of Cinicinnati, Ohio; and son, Derrick Poff of Barbourville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Poff will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm with Joel D. Strouth and Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery, with Harrison Davis, J.D. Strouth, Harvey Strouth and Paul Nicolaou serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Saturday, after 11:30am until the funeral hour at 2:00pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
