Jerry Lee Mills age 64, of Barbourville, died Saturday August 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was the son of the Late Homer and Ethel Mills, born to them on March 6, 1953 in Knox County, Kentucky.

He was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church. He loved listening to Gospel music, Talking on his cell phone and just being outside.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his one brother: Paul Mills and his four sisters: Victoria Carnes, Ruthie Mills, Wanda Mills and Fera Mills.

Jerry is survived by his three sisters Genoria Stewart of Barbourville, Virginia Mills and husband Glen of Salt Gum, KY, Betty Baker and husband Gerald of Barbourville. Plus a host of many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Jerry Lee Mills will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 8, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. David Barnard and Rev. Donnie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Lige Mills Cemetery at Big Creek, KY with nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Heritage Nursing Home staff and the staff of CCU at Baptist Health Corbin

The family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Monday and after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, until the funeral hour.
