Jimmy Lee Scalf, age 55, of Barbourville, died Saturday, June 1, 2013 at his home. He was a son of the Mary Scalf Hammons and the late James Scalf, born to them on October 30, 1957 at Pineville, Kentucky.

Jimmy Lee was a Coal Miner.

On February 27, 1957, his father, James Scalf and his mother, Mary Helton were married, and to this union their son Jimmy Lee was born.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Scalf.

Jimmy Lee is survived by his loving mother: Mary Hammons of Barbourville; and by his step-father: S.J. Hammons of Barbourville. His step-sister: Lisa Wilburn of Barbourville.
Many aunts, uncles, loving cousins and many dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Jimmy Lee Scalf will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie "Duke" Hammons and Rev. Dr. Bobby Drew Lawson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Doolin Cemetery at Heidrick.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Curt Reed, George Smith, Ronnie Smith, Bill Brooks, Rev. Rick Broughton, Will Jones, Chris Hubbs, Virgil Allen and Will Dunaway.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Friends and Neighbors.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

The Scalf family will receive friends after 6:00 P.M. on Monday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and after 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday until the funeral hour.
