Obituary

Joe Terrell, age 83, of Woodbine, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Baptist Health in Corbin. He was a son of the late Frank and Myrtle Grant Terrell, born to them on June 10, 1933 in Knox County.

Joe was a well known Knox County Saw Mill Owner and Operator, a member of the Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, and he loved to Garden.

On December 26, 1959, he united in marriage to Louise Elliott, and to this union four children were born.

Along with his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his son: Randy Lee Terrell; a son-in-law: Bogie McCuen; a granddaughter: Shannon Disney; and by his four sisters: Arlene, Marie, May and Juanita.

He is survived by his children: Barbara McCuen of Gray; David Terrell and wife, Joy of Gray; and Mary Engle and husband, Billy of Woodbine.
His daughter-in-law: Kim Terrell of Woodbine.
His grandchildren: Sarah, Hannah, Angie, Jason, Daniel and Megan; and his 10 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Joe Terrell will be 11:00 A.M. Sunday, August 28, 2016 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Wayne Elliott and Daniel Terrell officiating.
Burial will follow in the Grant Family Cemetery on Little Indian Creek.

Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Great Grandsons of Mr. Terrell.

The Terrell family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home on Saturday after 6:00 P.M., and on Sunday after 9:00 A.M. unto the hour of service.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
