John W. Disney, age 90, of Batavia, Ohio, and formerly of Barbourville, died Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Venetian Gardens in Goshen, Ohio. He was a son of the late James E. and Susan Ann Hurley Disney, born to them on September 5, 1927 in Barbourville, Kentucky.
He was retired from the Ford Motor Company, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife Ruth Sears Disney, and by his second wife Rosemary Hargis Disney, and by his two sisters: Mary Belle Disney and Nola Sue Brewer.
He is survived by his loving family: his wife Doris Glover Disney of Loveland, Ohio.
His two daughters: Teresa Little of Northern Kentucky and Marsha Hunt and husband, Chris of Clermont County, Ohio.
His four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
His three step-daughters: Phyllis, Linda and Rhonda; and a step-son Steve; and many other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for John W. Disney will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 4, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick with Military Honors by the DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Kentucky.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Wilson, Cody Wilson, Jamie Callahan, Dalton Hammons and Darrell Brewer.
The Disney family will receive friends after 12:00 noon on Monday at the Hopper Funeral Home, and until the funeral hour of 2:00 P.M.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
