John Robert (J.R.) Elliott, age 73, of Detroit, Michigan, and formerly of Artemus, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at this home.
He was a son of the late Bob and Ona Mae Carter Elliott, born to them on May 6, 1940 at Artemus.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters: Opal Issacson and Maxine Ermanni; and by his three brothers: Edward Elliott, Bill Frank Elliott and Austin Elliott.

He is survived by his loving family: His four sons: Todd Elliott of Indiana; Shane Elliott, Shawn Elliott and Brandon Elliott all of Detroit, Michigan.
His sister: Betty Montgomery and husband, Kenneth of Ewing, Virginia. His three brothers: Raymond Elliott and wife, June of Artemus; Glenn Elliott and wife, Joyce of Grays; and Shirley Elliott and wife, Nikki of Barbourville.
His sister-in-law: Bernice Elliott of Artemus; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be set at a later time.

Generation Funeral and Cremation of Detroit, Michigan will be in charge of arrangements.
