Obituary

Johnny C. Walters, age 70, of the Paint Hill Community of Barbourville, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
He was a son of the late Charlie and Genetta Helton Walters, born to them on August 9, 1942 at Emanuel Hollow in Knox County.

Johnny was a retired Coal Miner and Forman for the 4 G Mines: and a member of the Paint Hill Baptist Church.
On June 3, 1989, in united in marriage to Pat Trosper.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a infant daughter; Kim; and by his brother: Bobby Walters.

He is survived by his loving family: His wife: Pat Walters of Paint Hill Community.
His son: Johnny C. Walters, Jr. of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
His daughter: Tammy Thomas and husband, David of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and one special daughter: Teresa Coggins and husband, Allan of Williamson, Michigan.
His very special granddaughter: Misty; and three other grandchildren: James Thomas, Megan Teel and husband, Cody, and Jonathon Walters; and by his five great grandchildren: Brittany Gregory (better known as Pumkin), Taylor Gregory (better known as Little Tator), Ryder Hoskins, Tristan Teel, and her step-great grandson: Trevor Hoskins.
His three brothers: Calvin Walters and wife, Jan of Woodbine; Gary Walters of Barbourville; and Allen Walters of Corbin.
His four sisters: Mascal Helton of the Paint Hill Community; Linda Bunch and husband, Delbert of Madison Heights, Michigan; Opal Tuttle of Corbin; and Elvyn Jacques and husband, Rodney of Hawkinsville, Georgia; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Johnny C. Walters will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Paint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Denvil Taylor, Jr., Rev. Derrick Mills and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating.
Burial will follow in the Helton Cemetery at Paint Hill.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Michael Kulisek, Steve Brown, Nick Hoskins, Harold Trosper, Johnny Walters,Jr., and Doug Helton.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Lonnie Broughton and Allan Coggins.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

The Walters family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Friday, and after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Paint Hill Baptist Church.
