Kenneth Turner age 67, of Himyar, was born on April 6, 1946 in Barbourville. He was a son of the late Vernon Turner and Effie Smith Turner. Kenneth died, Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He united in marriage to Betty Gray and to this union two beloved children were born. Along with his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Dawn Jones and a brother, Chuck Turner.

Kenneth is survived by his dear wife, Betty Turner of Himyar; his son; Kenneth Shawn Turner and wife, Nicole of Himyar; his grandchildren; Austin, Chase, Deven and Dylan; his sister; Betty Jordan of Detroit, Michigan; and a special nephew who was like a son to Kenneth, Michael Jordan also of Detroit, Michigan.

Funeral Services for Kenneth Turner will be conducted Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at Himyar, with Family Members and Friends serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Sunday after 6:00 pm and Monday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00 am. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
