Lawrence Miller age 69, of Barbourville, was born on April 28, 1945 in Hazard, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Al Miller and Stella Harding Miller. Lawrence died Monday, May 5, 2014 in  Barbourville. He was a retired Business Owner and was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam Era. On February 2, 1967, he united in marriage to Susan Katie Stamper and to this union two beloved children were born. Along with his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by a grandson, Cale Miller, a sister, Mertie Fugate, and four brothers, Richard, Joe, LeRoy and Ronnie Miller.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Gary Wayne Miller of Louisville, Kentucky; his daughter Sherrie Miller of Barbourville, his grandchildren; Austin Combs, Wesley Combs, Travis Caldwell, Alan Miller, Jonathan Miller and Lauren Miller; his great grandchildren; Collin Combs, Alysa Combs and Noah Combs; his sisters; Jacqueline Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; Marjorie Neace of London, Kentucky and his former wife, Susan Katie Stamper Miller of Barbourville.

Funeral Services for Lawrence Miller will be conducted Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with David Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in the Stamper-Miller Cemetery, with Gary Miller, Jonathan Miller, Alan Miller, Austin Combs, Wesley Combs and Travis Caldwell serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Thursday after 3:00 pm  until the hour of service at 5:00 pm.  Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
