Leah Alyson Hensley McDonald, age 41, of Walton, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Alyson was born on February 5, 1973 to Gilbert Wayne Hensley and Nancy Loretta Yeager Hensley in Barbourville, Kentucky.

She was Blessed to be a part of the Nicholson Christian Church Family.
She is survived by her daughter, Alexandra (Lexy) Lee McDonald, her fiance', Christopher Crabb, and her parents, Gilbert Hensley and Loretta Yeager Hensley. She is also survived by one brother Michael
and wife Toni Hensley, a niece, Gracie Rose Hensley, and a nephew, Gavin Michael Hensley, special and dear aunts and uncles, Barbara Yeager Brumfield, Catherine Martin and husband, Henry, Yvonne Yeager, Wanda Hensley, Valerie Kimsey and husband, Joey, David Hensley, Larry Hensley and wife, Debbie, and Dennis Hensley and wife, Carol; her fiance' parents, Joe and Marty Crabb; her former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glenn and Shirley McDonald; and sister-in-law, Kim Carter and husband, Jeff, and their children, Nate, Zack and Gwen.
Alyson was prececed in death by her son, Michael Taylor McDonald, her maternal grandparents, Virgil and Alice (Townsley) Yeager, her paternal grandparents, Keith and Edith (Bruner) Hensley, her aunts, Sheila Hensley and Judy Bose, and by her uncles, Fred Hensley and Ronnie Hensley.
Visitation for Leah Alyson Hensley McDonald will be Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, Kentucky.
There will also be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Hopper Funeral Home in Barbourville, with funeral services beginning at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Travis and Bro. James McDonald will be officiating. Burial will be at the Lynn Camp Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Doug Taylor, William Logan, Keith Partin, Ronnie Townsley, Clandis Smith, Russ Hensley, Denny Hensley, and Travis Hensley.
