Obituary

Leamon Hinkle, age 66, of London, Kentucky departed this life into his heavenly home on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.

Leamon was born on Hales Creek in Knox County on July 7, 1946, to the late Lester and Mary Hale Hinkle.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Hinkle Cole, and by a brother-in-law: George Privett.

Leamon taught school at Henderson Settlement, Lone Jack and Bell County, and retired after 30 years of service with the Bell County Board of Education where he taught Business.
As a mason, he was initiated, passed and raised at the Pinnacle Masonic Lodge # 691 F. & A. M. of Middlesboro, Kentucky.
He was later elevated to the 32nd degree, and made a master of the royal secret at the Knoxville Consistory of Scottish Rite bodies. He was also equally elevated to the York Rite 32nd degree in Danville, Kentucky. He received the degree mystic of the noble shrine in Cawood, Kentucky near Harlan. He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church at London, Kentucky.

Leamon is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Kim Pease Hinkle; his two daughters: Khristi Leigh Williams of Mibblesboro, Kentucky; and Samantha Elizabeth Hinkle of London, Kentucky.
His son: Hayden Michael Hinkle of London, Kentucky.
His granddaughter: Madison Mills of Middlesboro, Kentucky.
His grandson: Johnny Williams.
His sister: Jackie Privett Creekmore and husband, Bob of Greenville, South Carolina.
His brother: Glen Hinkle and wife, Mattie of Hamilton, Ohio; and several dear nieces and nephews, and other relatives, and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Leamon Hinkle will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 6, 2013 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Andrew Dyer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

The Hinkle family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, and until the funeral hour of 3:00 P.M.
