Lee H. York age 77, of Artemus, was born on February 26, 1941 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Howard York and Emily Wilson York. Lee died Monday, February 11, 2019 in the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Barbourville.  He was a member of the Artemus Christian Church Lee also attended and believed in the Pentecostal Faith. Lee was a retired factory worker. He united in marriage to Helen Trent. Later he united in marriage to Debbie Bays . Along with his parents, Lee was preceded in death by; his wife Debbie Bays York; three brothers, Willie Ray York, Marcus York and Charles York.

Lee is survived by a daughter, Donna Bunch of Barbourville; his grandchildren; former wife, Helen Trent of Middlesboro, Kentucky;  his sister, Hazel Phyllis Watts Warren of Artemus; his brother; Ruben Wilson York and wife, Kathy of Artemus; his dear and loving companion, Judy Moore of Barbourville; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Lee H. York will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ray Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the York-Sargent Cemetery at Artemus, with Sam Watts, Matthew Merritt, Justin York, Gary Perkins, Tony Moore and Steve Smith serving as pallbearers. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Thursday after 11:00 am until the hour of service at 2:00 pm. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
