Leslie Logan Campbell, age 96, of Artemus, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at his home.
He was a son of the late William Jackson and Mossie Lee Davis Campbell, born to them on August 28, 1917, in Artemus.
Leslie retired from the Wiser Oil Company after 42 years of service; he was a Charter Member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church; and a member since 1951 of the Mountain Masonic Lodge #187 F. & A.M. of Barbourville.
On May 21, 1947, he united in marriage to Delora Miller, and to this union a loving daughter was born.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Delora Miller Campbell, on June 28, 1964; his three brothers: Doyle Campbell, Squire Bill Campbell and Ted Davis Campbell; his five sisters: Virgie Campbell Lawson, Myrtle Campbell Lawson, Eulah Campbell Miracle, Mary Campbell West and Blanche Campbell Black.
He is survived by his loving daughter.
His two sisters-in-law: Nora Hammons Campbell and Ruby Parker Campbell.
His two brothers-in-law: Carl Miller and Walter Miller; and a host of loving nieces and nephews, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Leslie Logan Campbell will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 27, 2013 at the East Barbourville Baptist Church with Rev. James Vandy officiating.
Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Terrell Black, Gerald Keith West, Jerry Boles, Terry Messer, Richard Davis Hudson and Carl Miller.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
The Campbell family will receive friends after 9:00 A.M. on Friday at the church until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Barbourville Baptist Church Building Fund, 279 Old 25E Highway, Barbourville, Kentucky 40906 in loving memory of Leslie Logan Campbell.
