Leslie Ernest Derr, 73, of Gray, died Sunday, March 27, 2016, at his home. Leslie was born in Borger, Texas February 14, 1943 to the late Benjamin Franklin Derr Jr, and Marcella Emelyne Hormann Derr. He retired as the owner and operator of KYTX Oil Company,and had owned Derr Air Tools for 40 years. He was a huge NASCAR fan.

He and his wife Judy have been together for 29 years, and she survives him. Also surviving is his mother, Emelyne Derr Brewer of Borger, TX, his children, Richard Derr (Kathy Redus) of Los Angeles, CA, Darrell (Shana) Conaway of San Antonio, TX, Jody (DeDe) Conaway of Borger, TX, Deborah Topper of Amarillo, TX, Holly (Steve) Parrish of Amarillo, TX, and Shelly (Corey) Coleman of Borger, TX, a brother, Eddie (Ginger) Derr of Bandera, Tx, a sister, Marcia (Gary) Graham of Farmington, NM, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In Kentucky a Memorial Service for Leslie Ernest Derr was held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel in Barbourville, Kentucky with George Wilson officiating.

In Texas there will be a Memorial Service for Leslie Ernest Derr at the First Baptist Church in Borger, Texas on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 3:00 P.M.

Interment will be in Borger, Texas.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
