Wayne Carnes age 51, of Heidrick, was born on November 16, 1966 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Dewey Frank Carnes and Coleen Hudson Carnes. Wayne died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. He was a member of the Parkway Baptist Church. Wayne was a Construction Worker and was a Mechanic before retiring. On March 26, 2015, he united in marriage to Angie Hammons. Along with his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by a infant brother, Timothy Carnes.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Angie Carnes, of Heidrick; a daughter, Tonya Brown and husband, Rob of Trosper; two sons; Joshua Gray and Travis Gray; of Trosper; a sister, Debbie Sizemore and husband, Henry of Corbin; a brother; Rick Carnes and wife, Darlene of Barbourville; grandchildren; Paisley, Greyson, Sasha, Jadan and Caisen; he also leaves several beloved, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many dear friends.
Funeral Services for Wayne Carnes will be conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon, with Rev. Jerry Vaughn and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick, with Charles Hudson, Frank Elliott, Terry Grubb, Danny Mills, John Edwards, Jeff Creighton, Brian Brown and Earl Marlow serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Raju Vora and all staff at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home Friday after 6:00 pm and Saturday after 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 12:00 noon. Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangments.
