Lois Jean Youtsler Ramsey, age 81, of Artemus, died Friday, July 28, 2017 in the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was a daughter of the late Elijah Allen Youtsler and Irene Gertrude Black Youtsler, born to them on May 13, 1936 in Middletown, Ohio.
Mrs. Ramsey was a retired House Keeping Supervisor for over 35 years for the Barbourville Nursing Home; and a member of the Artemus First Baptist Church.
On April 17, 1954, she united in marriage to Lindburgh Ramsey, and to this union seven children were born.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years: Lindburgh Ramsey on December 23, 2008; her four sons: George Douglas Ramsey, and triplets: David, Thomas and Edward Ramsey; her granddaughter: Jessica Hubbard; her great grandson: Isaiah Douglas Stunson; her two brothers: Donald Youtsler and Buddy Youtsler; her sister: Dodie Vandeventer; and her brother-in-law: Larry Conarroe.
She is survived by her loving family: Her three children: Linda Sowders and husband, Herb of Barbourville; Lisa Mcintosh of Richmond, Kentucky; and Bryon Keith Ramsey and wife, Dowanna of Barbourville.
Her six grandchildren: Krista Sowders of Barbourville; Betty Broughton and husband, Lance of Gray; Joshua Keith Ramsey and wife, Danielle of Barbourville; Matthew Tyler Ramsey and wife, Lauren of Barbourville; Tiffany Michelle Beller and her fiancee' Roy Turner of Richmond, Kentucky; and Bridgette Nicole Hubbard of Louisville, Kentucky.
Her nine great grandchildren: Ethan Broughton, Landon Broughton, Clayton Broughton, Easton Ramsey, Emmalyn Ramsey, Abigail Beller, Xavier Beller, Bentlee Turner, and Isabella Hubbard.
Her brothers and sisters: Robert Youtsler and wife, Kathy of Monroe, Ohio; Karen Conarroe of Middletown, Ohio; Marshall Youtsler and wife, Brenda of Middletown, Ohio; and Marsha Kakaris and husband, Tony of Middletown, Ohio. Her sister-in-law: Kathie Youtsler of Florida; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Lois Jean Youtsler Ramsey will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Patterson and Glen McDonald officiating.
Burial will follow in the Corum Cemetery at Artemus.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Matthew Ramsey, Joshua Ramsey, Ethan Broughton, Ronnie Bowling, Glen McDonald, Lance Broughton, Tony Kakaris and Stanley Lawson.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: The Artemus First Baptist Church Family, the Apple Grove Baptist Church, and the Barbourville Health & Rehabilitation Center.
The Ramsey family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 6:00 P.M. on Monday, and after 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, and until the funeral hour.
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
