Obituary

Lonnie B. Cole, age 84, of London, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 in
the Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin.
He was a son of the late Dallas and Rosa Patterson Cole, born to them on May 26, 1930 at Heidrick in Knox County.

Lonnie retired from the United States Air Force with over 22 years of service for his Country; and worked for the Winter Park Telephone Company from 1972 until 1986 in Winter Park, Florida; a member of the Central Baptist Church of Ocala, Florida; and a member of the NRA.

He united in marriage to Wilma Cole, and to this union a daughter, Debbie was born.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dallas and Rosa Patterson Cole; his wife, Dottie Cole; his four brothers: Dennis, Ersel, Charles, and Lavoy Martin; and by his one baby sister: Alma Gene Cole.

Lonnie is survived by his loving family: his daughter: Debbie McGee and husband, Curtis of Olathe, Kansas.
His two grandchildren: Cole McGee and wife, Valerie of Olathe, Kansas; and Trent McGee of Manhatten, Kansas.
His loving sister: Lois Lee Cole of London.
His step-daughter: Linda Fuhrmann of Ocala, Florida.
His two step grandchildren: Brandon and Holli Fuhrmann.
His sister-in-law: Terry Rogers of Debary, Florida.
His former wife: Wilma Cole; his four nieces, and eight nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Lonnie B. Cole will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Homer Johnson and Rev. Jeffrey Branum officiating.
Burial will follow in the Patterson Cemetery at Heidrick.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: John Martin, Dale Sorensen, David Martin, Irvin Martin, Douglas Martin, Donnie Martin, Cole McGee and Trent McGee.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: W. J. Patterson, Kenneth Patterson, Denny Martin, Barry Martin, Ron Collier, Terry Martin, Cecil Patterson, Jack Patterson, Keith Patterson, Harold Glenn Patterson, Janice Collier, Diane Dye, Lisa Sorensen, Mary Irene Patterson and Maggie Lee.

The Cole family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home after 12:00 noon on Tuesday, and until the funeral hour.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the Patterson Cemetery, P.O. Box 552, Heidrick, Kentucky 40949 in loving memory of Lonnie B. Cole.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
