Obituary

Loretta Davis Broughton, age 68, of Artemus, died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London.
She was a daughter of the late John H. and Pearl Gibson Davis, born to them on November 5, 1945 at Artemus.

Loretta was a retired Family Resource Coordinator with the Knox County Board of Education. She was a Christian and a Member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church at Little Brush Creek, and a former Member of the Artemus First Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed her hobbies which included making wedding cakes, cakes, pies, candy, and catering.

Along with her parents, she was
preceded in death by her two brothers: Doyle Lee Davis and Jack Keith Davis; her sister: Betty Lou Davis Partin; and by her loving son: Herman Christopher (Moe) Broughton on December 26, 2013.

She is survived by her loving family: Her daughter: Felicia Ann West of Artemus.
Her two grandchildren: Zoey Faith and Luka Christopher.
Her three sisters: Sue Ann King and husband, Howard of Bailey Switch; Billie Messer and husband, Pete of Artemus; and Pauline Fee and husband, Roger of Artemus.
Her sister-in-law: Janice Davis of Texas.
Her brother-in-law: Louis Partin of Little Brush Creek; and a host of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and dear friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Loretta Davis Broughton will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 20, 2014 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Honeycutt and Bro. Sam Buchanan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Davis Bend.
Those serving as Pallbearers will be: David Mills, Shane McNevin, Harry Mays, Joshua Reiter, Brian Nelson, Doug Taylor and Mike Blevins.
Those serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, and all employees of the Family Resource Center of Knox County, the Knox County Hospital Staff, and the Saint Joseph Hospital of London Staff.

The Broughton family will receive friends at the Hopper Funeral Home on Thursday after 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
