Louise Garland, 84, The Lord called her home on March 10, 2015 at her home in Semmes, Alabama. She was born on March 15, 1930 in Trosper, Kentucky to William & Florence Matlock. She was the youngest of 7 siblings.

Beloved wife of the late Louis Garland. She was survived by 3 daughters Carolyn Bowman (Gary) of Atlanta, Georgia; Wilma Breeden (Bob) of Dunnellon, Florida and Wanda Garland of Cincinnati, Ohio. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Melissa Miller, Tonia Nagel, Jessica Miller, Christopher Bowman, Matthew Bowman, Danell Stewart and Anthony Fausaught; as well as 7 great Grandchildren and 1 great greatgrand daughter.

She spent most of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Semmes, Alabama with her caretaker and granddaughter Tonia Nagel in 2009. They lived together for many years and dedicated their spare time and home to rescuing abandoned animals.Louise loved embroidery, cooking, sitting outside listening to music, tending to her flowers, working puzzles, traveling, spending time with her family and watching birds especially red cardinals.

Funeral service for Louise Garland will be 12:00 noon Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Matlock officiating.
Burial will follow in the Burch Alford Cemetery at Artemus.

The Garland family will receive friends after 10:00 am on Sunday, and until the funeral hour.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
