Obituary

Lucille Vermillion Lanham age 93, of Fairborn, Ohio
was born on September 1, 1921 in Barbourville, Kentucky. She was
the daughter of the late Chester Hammond and Dora Mitchell Hammond.
Lucille died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Arbors West in
West Jefferson, Ohio. She was a member of the First Baptist Church
at Fairborn, Ohio. Lucille was a sales clerk for the Elder-Beerman Department Store. She worked there for over thirty years. She united
in marriage to Clarence Edward Vermillion and to this union two
beloved sons were born. Her husband, Clarence preceded her in death.
Later she united in marriage to Jack Edwin Lanham. Her husband, Jack and two brothers; Kelsey Hammond and Andrew J. Hammond also preceded
her in death.

Lucille is survived by her sons; Edward Vermillion and wife, Nancy
of Novi, Michigan; Rex Vermillion and wife, Cheryl of Hilliard, Ohio;
three dear grandchildren; Brooke, Kaylie and Kyle; her brother,
Ted Ray Hammond and wife, Hazel of Corbin, Kentucky a sister-in-law, Pauline Hammond of Barbourville and many other dear relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Services for Mrs. Lanham will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 am,
at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Josh Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at the Barbourville Cemetery. Friends will be
received at the Hopper Funeral Home from 10:30am until the service
at 11:00 am. The Lanham Family have suggested contributions may be made to the Fairborn Senior Center, 325 N. Third Street, Fairborn, Ohio, in loving memory of Lucille Vermillion Lanham. . Hopper Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
