Obituary

Martha Opal Jackson Rardon, age 91,of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Flat Lick, Kentucky, and widow of the late Gerald Rardon, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Versailles, Kentucky. She was born , November 15, 1922 to the late, Sam T. Jackson, and Dora Mills Jackson.

Mrs. Rardon joined the Montgomery Community Baptist Church in June, 1970, active in Sunday School and the Woman's Christian Services. She served as Deacon, and church clerk. She retired from the State of Ohio after 31 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, Opal was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Slusher and Beulah Gutgsell, and brothers, Sam T. Jackson Jr., and Harold Jackson.

Opal is survived by three brothers, Virgil Jackson and wife Marcie, Gabriel Jackson and wife Loretta, and Ray Jackson and wife Evelyn, several beloved nieces and nephews, great, great- great-, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Hopper Funeral Home with Rev. Shane Nickell officiating. Burial will follow In the Jackson Cemetery in Flat Lick. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until services.
