Obituary

Martha Viola Pridemore Perkins West Bargo age 93, of Barbourville, was born on July 9, 1922 at Eastridge Branch in Knox County. She was
a daughter of the late John Pridemore and Mary Matlock Pridemore.
Mrs. Bargo died Sunday, April 10, 2016 in the Appalachian Regional
Hospital, in Barbourville. She was a member of the Little Poplar
Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, canning,
quilting, crocheting, working puzzles and reading her Bible and other
Christian books. Mrs. Bargo was a Kentucky Colonel. She was a person
with lots of wisdom and prayed for her family every night. She united
in marriage to Clifford Perkins and to this union four children were
born. Her husband Clifford and a son, Jesse preceded her in death.
Later she united in marriage to Pascal Code West who preceded her
in death. She later united in marriage to Rev. Chester Bargo who preceded her in death. Granddaughters, Tonya Marie Perkins and
Carla Griffin; sisters, Rosa Mae Pridemore and Clara Poarch; brothers,
Jesse, Willie and Elmer Pridemore, daughter-in-law; Imogene Perkins and sisters-in-law; Nola and Daisy Pridemore also preceded Mrs. Bargo
in death.

Mrs. Bargo is survived by; her daughters; Frances Brown and husband,
Walter of Barbourville; Barbara Akins and husband, Terry of Corbin;
her son; Franklin Perkins and wife, Gail of Barbourville; several
beloved step-children whom she loved dearly; granddaughters; Teresa Schooley and husband, Vince; Connie Tye and husband, Ken; Charlotte
McVey and husband, Emmanuel; Angela Peace and husband, Kenny; grandsons; Roger Barger and wife, Brenda; Robert Barger and wife, Laura; and John Barger and wife, Lisa; six great granddaughters;
seven great grandsons; four great great grandsons; and one great great
grand baby on the way.

Funeral Services for Martha Viola Pridemore Perkins West Bargo will be
conducted in the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Gray and Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. Burial will follow in the Mays Cemetery at Bryants Store with grandsons and great grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Bargo's church family at the
Little Poplar Creek Baptist Church and all friends and neighbors.
Friends will be received at the Hopper Funeral Home, Tuesday after
6:00 pm and Wednesday after 11:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm
Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
