Barbourville, Ky. – Marvin Hubbard , 80, of Louisville, passed away March 31, 2020. Marvin was lovingly born in Ellijay, Georgia to Lewis Lee Hubbard and Maskle Baker Hubbard, on April 22, 1939.
Marvin was a gentle kind person who did help and would help as many people as he could. He lived by the Bible. He had his pilot's license in his younger years and he had a keen interest in electronics, antennas, and short-wave radios. Marvin enjoyed immensely, working with his brother, Randall. He had a gift for horticulture, manicuring and maintaining prized rose gardens for residents of Louisville.
Along with his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Hubbard of Louisville. He is survived by one brother, Robert Hubbard of Louisville and by one sister, Jennie Hubbard Cox and her husband, James R. Cox, of Louisville. Also left to mourn Marvin's passing are three nephews: Drew A. Hubbard and his wife Brandi of Cheyenne, Wy.; Johnathan Cox and his wife Shawna of Paoli, In.; and Jimmy Cox and his wife Laura of Bakersfield, Ca.; one niece, Erin Ashbrook and her husband, Joe of Louisville; two great-grandnieces: Olivia Hubbard and Celeste Cox and five great-grandnephews: Brendan Ashbrook, Caleub Ashbrook, J.R. Cox, Parker Cox and Cole Cox.
Mr. Hubbard also leaves behind to mourn his absence, Mrs. Becky Justice, who along with her late husband, Monty Justice, celebrated with Marvin, a long and cherished friendship.
Respecting the Executive Orders issued by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and following the directives mandated by the CDC regarding the COVID-19 Pandemic, all arrangements for Mr. Hubbard will be private.
